Demo mode

A public instance where anyone can come in, and what it turns off.

With NOTEBUGS_PUBLIC=true, the installation waives login. The identity becomes an anonymous visitor with role ADMIN and no record in the database.

What goes off the air

  • The whole backup: all eight routes, and the schedule in Settings.
  • Storage configuration: both routes.
  • Accounts and users: no creating, editing or deleting an account.

The only account write that mode performs is the visitor's, created on demand to give a favourite an owner: the favourite is personal and needs one.

Demo mode is not read-only mode

The visitor writes on the board: creates, moves and deletes cards. What they do not reach is the installation: backup, storage and accounts.
